Accounting Associate

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Data entry and write up services.
• Bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Preparation of adjusting journal entries.
• Review of Quickbooks accounting.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Maintain depreciation schedules.
• Preparation of payroll and payroll reports.
• Sales tax and 1099 preparation.
• Preparation of individual, corporation, partnership, non-profit and estate tax returns tax returns is a plus.
• Assist clients with accounting questions and issues.
• Monitor deadlines to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience,

  with 2-5 years’ experience

• Previous experience working in a public accounting firm preferred, but not required
• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as: Word, Excel, & Outlook
• Familiarity with CCH’s ProSystem FX Tax software preferred, but not required Familiarity with QuickBooks desktop and on-line versions preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with Thomson Reuters Accounting CS preferred, but not required
• Strong written and oral communications skills and attention to detail
