Job Description

A Warehouse worker will perform a variety of routine receiving, shipping, and general labor tasks. Receiving tasks include scanning, unloading, sorting, purchase order verification, and put-away. Shipping tasks include picking, packaging and loading of customer orders and vendor replenishment transfers. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receiving

Unload incoming vendor shipments

Scan, Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received.

Inspect shipments for shortage, damages, or defects.

Compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of vendor shipment.

Accurately receive and stage received items to proper areas.

Put away to correct location and verify expected item and quantity

Experience with Scanning Systems is required.

Computer Literacy and PC Knowledge is required.

Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or industrial lift (hi-lo, reach truck, dock truck, sit-down, pallet truck) in loading and unloading material and equipment

May be required to operate industrial lift equipment at heights of up to 30 feet. 

Pick items and quantities from designated locations

Notify lead of any shortages or product quality issues

Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices

Shipping

Pick items and quantities from designated locations.

Notify lead of any shortages or product quality issues.

Use of a hand-held mobile computer/scanner is a must.

Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or industrial lift (hi-lo, reach truck, dock truck, sit-down, pallet truck) in loading and unloading material and equipment.

Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices

Required to operate industrial lift equipment at heights of up to 30 feet.

Experience and Skills:

High School Diploma or GED is required

Valid driver’s license (CDL not required)

Experience with Scanning Systems is required.

3+ years warehouse experience desired

Computer Literacy and PC Knowledge is required.

Forklift experience required

Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs

Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours or more a day

RF unit experience desirable

Telecommunications Product knowledge a plus

Multi-tasking in a fast paced work environment
