Smith Corners United Methodist Church

Description

WORSHIP
We gather for about an hour at 10:30 AM every Sunday morning to experience and praise God. It's a time for all ages to gather and be challenged and encouraged, as we begin a new week.

GROWING IN THE FAITH
A variety of pportunities are available throughout the week to help us to grow in our faith.
But it begins at home. Everyone is encouraged to read and study God's Word for themselves. This is vital part of having a relationship with God and growing in your faith. In addition, we have Adult Sunday School, at 9:30 AM Sunday mornings, KiDVenture! (the children are dismissed half way through the worship service to participate in an age-appropriate Bible Study and activities), and multiple Bible Studies at various times and locations, through the week. The pastor leads a Bible Study on Thursdays at 6:30 PM at the church.
Specific times and topics will be posted in the worship bulletins and on our church Facebook page.

FELLOWSHIP
We also take time on the journey to enjoy a little food and some fun together. Everyone is welcome and invited to come to any of the gatherings!
The second Saturday of each month we serve a hearty Pancake Breakfast at the church from 9-11 AM.
The third Thursday of each month, from 4:30-6 PM, we serve what has become known as "Supper On The Corner." It's a delicious, but different meal each month.

We also have other gatherings throughout the year to come together, enjoy each other's company, and have a little fun. Individual event details will be posted on our website Events page, and in the worship bulletins and on our church Facebook page.

SERVICE
Helping out and reaching out are also very important parts of what we are all about. Serving within the church we call ministry. Serving in the community and on out all around the world, we call missions.
From greeting people as they arrive, to teaching Sunday School and Bible studies, from helping to prepare and serve the meals to caring for our building and grounds, there is a way in which everyone can help, Everyone is a minister. And everyone's help is needed. We encourage everyone to find a way in which to serve within the church.
We also encourage everyone to find a way to serve beyond the church. Among other things, volunteers help with outreach projects like Vacation Bible School, a Harvest Fest in the fall, and an Easter Egg Hunt around Easter. They help at the local Food Bank, and regularly serve meals at the Rescue Mission, Special offerings and mission trips extend the caring across our country and around the world.
We are on a mission to help others in need, and to make our world a better place! And we would always welcome an extra hand and a giving heart.
